Applause Test Case Management for Jira

The Applause Test Case Management (TCM) for Jira is an Atlassian Marketplace app that will display all Applause TCM test data in real-time as part of your Jira ticket, making it easier for Jira users to have visibility into statuses, bugs reported, test cycles.

The idea is if you have a story or a bug in your Jira that’s being tested in Applause with a test case, as part of the Jira ticket for that story or bug you will see the information about the test case, including when it was run and what were the results.

Linking Applause Test Cases to Jira Tickets

In order for the connection between an Applause test case and a Jira ticket to work, you need to reference the Jira ticket in the Applause test case.

  1. In the Applause platform, navigate to Test Case Management from the left side menu.
  2. Open the editing window of the relevant test case.
  3. In the References section click Add Reference.
    • For the Reference Label specify any desired label.
    • In the Reference Value enter the link to the Jira ticket.
    • For the Integration specify Jira.

A test case can be linked to multiple Jira tickets, and a Jira ticket can be linked to multiple test cases.

How the Integration Between Applause and Jira Works

Every time a user in Jira opens a ticket, the Applause TCM for Jira app queries Applause to whether the company that the API key belongs to has any reference to the ticket, and if it does, it pulls the information and displays it in Jira.
